Elizabeth Edwards Talks About John Edwards’ Affair (VIDEO)
Elizabeth Edwards has gone public with her account of her husband’s affair. In a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey which aired today, she described how shocked she was to be told on the day after John Edwards declared his presidential candidacy, that he had been unfaithful to her by engaging in a one night stand with Rielle Hunter. It rocked her world.
After being physically ill in the bathroom, she asked Edwards to pull out of the presidential race. He refused. It was only later that Elizabeth discovered that the assignation was really a full blown affair, with a possible love child.
When Oprah asked her about the baby, Elizabeth said, “I’ve seen a picture of the baby. I have no idea. It doesn’t look like my children, but I don’t have any idea.” See photo below.
Elizabeth has written a book about this difficult chapter in her life entitled Resilience: Reflections on the Burdens and Gifts of Facing Life’s Adversities. It hits bookstore shelves on May 12.
There is still much that John Edwards’ wife does not know. She said, “I tried to get him to explain but he did not know himself why he had allowed it to happen.” She told Oprah that they are still living together. She added, “Neither one of us is out the door so I guess it’s day by day, but maybe it’s month by month.”
Oprah, being Oprah, asked Elizabeth if she still loves John. She replied, “You know, that’s a complicated question.”

It is sad to say that this country’s media and it viewers thrive on shock and scandal and less on what is killing our economy and more importantly… how are we going to get this country back on it’s feet!!! I suppose we could all just sit back and cast judgment on John Edwards and those like him and hope President Obama sets about to cure our country’s economic woe’s, and while we’re at it, lets all just turn on Oprah and see what she thinks about it… oh wait she only does topics that will get her ratings and approval.
CNN and the other major news media should pull its head out and get off the scandal and shock blitz and cover some really news worthy topics such as GM and Chrysler’s financial problems and what is being done to help them and save thousands of peoples job, or maybe we could all pitch in and make sure that no one goes to bed hungry… I guess it is easier to cast judgment than to actually take a look at the direction this county is going in and really do something about it. The media is only concerned about what will bring them ratings and paychecks, and sadly they cater their scandal and drama news to the multitudes that need that daily “dirty laundry” fix.
I am sure that soon there will be a new reality show on TV that will be based on digging up the most dirt on public and popular figures while the winner will get some fat ass high paying job on one of the major news networks serving up ugly tidbits of shame and disgust for the public to gobble up…watch out National Inquirer!
This is crazy but not suprising. He should of came clean exactly one year ago. Did u see the pics of the baby looking just like John? I hope Elizabeth does well after all this!
