Celebrity Twitter Pages
Want to know what Ashton Kutcher is up to in Atlanta? How Britney Spears is coping on tour? How John Mayer’s album is coming along? Celebrities are Twittering about their personal and professional lives in increasing numbers, giving fans a chance to feel connected on a more personal level than ever before.
Is this a good thing? Isn’t the allure of celebrities the illusion that they are so far removed from the mundane world of us lesser humans that the chances of connecting with them are zilch?
Twitter is challenging the disconnect, allowing fans to send personal messages to their favorite celebs, enhancing the feeling that they “know” celebrities.
It may be years before we know the deeper effects this will have on pop culture, however, one thing is clear – the distance between celebrities and their audience is shrinking.
With more and more celebrities jumping on the Twitter bandwagon, we thought we would provide you with a list of some of our faves and links to some of the more interesting celebrity Twitter pages.
Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter page – Ashton is probably the best known celebrity Twitterer. With multiple updates daily, Ustream videos from his iPhone, messages to wife Demi Moore and over 1.6 million followers as of this writing, Kutcher is worth following.
John Mayer’s Twitter page – Mayer waxes philosophical and gets introspective at times, giving us a glimpse into his thought processes. He injects his offbeat humor in his updates and keeps his followers informed on how his latest songwriting is going.
Britney Spears Twitter page – Britney updates her Twitter page with the aid of manager Adam Leber. Most of the posts are PR for her current tour, however, Britney herself updates fans about her personal life from time to time.
Ryan Seacrest Twitter page – With his unbelievably busy schedule, Seacrest still manages to Twitter frequently, often just prior to going live on American Idol, and during breaks. During his radio show, online Producer Sadao often Tweets for Ryan.
Diddy’s Twitter page – Diddy’s updates revolve around positive thinking and spreading positive energy, with frequent inside info about what’s going on in the studio.
Demi Moore’s Twitter page – Demi often communicates directly with hubby Ashton Kutcher via Twitter, and provides fans with candid pics taken from her iPhone.
Oprah’s Twitter page – Oprah recently jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and gives us a glimpse inside her star-studded life, often communicating with other celebs via Twitter.

Very few celebs follow the fans that follow them, which means they will not get your tweets. I figure why bother reading their tweets when they ask your opinion about something, they will never receive your response to their question so it is pointless for them to even ask.
I doubt that they’re really the ones doing the Twittering.
Great list, thanks!
