Actress Mariska Hargitay suffered a partially collapsed lung back in January and now she has revealed to People magazine what happened to cause the sudden condition that required immediate hospitalization.

The Law & Order: SVU star said, “I’ve been doing my own stunts on the show for 10 years.  I fell wrong, basically.  I collapsed my lung doing a stunt.”

After undergoing surgery in January, the actress returned to the set of the NBC series but was again hospitalized on March 3, 2009.  Her publicist reported it was for “routine tests.”  Hargitay was off the set for three weeks before rejoining the cast on March 23.

How is Mariska’s health these days?  The actress says she is at 100% and we believe her.  The actress accepted an award last week on Capitol Hill for her cancer philanthropy – see above.  She also looked stunning while attending a dinner for the American Ballet Theater in Manhattan on Monday evening – see below.
