Kathy Coleman aka Kathleen Coleman, the actress who played Holly Marshall in the original TV show Land of the Lost, has a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie.
Land of the Lost, the cult classic which aired on Saturday mornings from 1974-1976 on NBC, followed the adventures of the Marshall family (Rick Marshall – the paleontologist dad, Will – the teenage son, and Holly – the 12-year-old daughter) who were transported to a mysterious world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey-like people called Pakuni, and aggressive, humanoid/lizard creatures called Sleestak.
Coleman, 47, married at age 18 and had two sons. She worked on her father-in-law’s dairy farm in Fallon, Nevada for several years before divorcing her husband and moving back to Los Angeles. She has not acted for many years, but has contributed interviews and commentary tracks on all three seasons of the Land of the Lost DVDs.
The film, directed by Brad Silberling and starring Will Ferrell, is slated for release on June 5, 2009.
