The Season 5 premiere episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 was a huge success for TLC. According to the Nielsen ratings, 9.8 million households tuned in to see how the show would deal with the marital strife that has put Jon Gosselin and his wife of 10 years, Kate Gosselin, squarely at the forefront of media gossip.

Us Weekly, the website that has provided exclusive details surrounding the extra-marital allegations of the show’s stars, has uncovered more unseemly details that continue to cast Kate AND Jon in a very unattractive light. We’ve seen photos of Jon and school teacher Deanna Hummel. We’ve also heard the rumors of infidelity between Kate and her bodyguard Steve Neild.

According to Jon’s boss at Style Craft Corporation, David Rothermel, he had to fire Gosselin from his IT job because he surfed the internet all day long, looking for freebies for his soon-to-be-born sextuplets. Rothermel recalls that Jon got $5 a day allowance and had to grovel to his wife if he needed more.

The boss also remembers the day when Kate stormed into his business, while pregnant with the sextuplets. She was in a furious rage because Jon’s father hadn’t brought her lunch.

The Gosselin’s told their viewers that the reason Jon had left the employ of Style Craft was because the company didn’t want to insure his sextuplets. The boss says – not so.

The always controlling Kate also made waves when a friend of Jon’s father donated a 14 passenger van to the family of 10. Apparently the burgundy color didn’t suit the mother of eight because she traded it in for one that better suited her color preferences.

Others tell the story of the day Jon’s father was buried. Kate forbid him from spending time with his brothers after the service. Is it any wonder the wheels have come off of the wagon?

Kate’s brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi Kreider have shared similar stories, even though it clearly pained them to speak out against loved one. They sat down with CBS co-anchor Harry Smith on May 27, 2009 to share their concerns about their nieces and nephews. They believe that the children are being exploited by TLC and their parents. Kate may be controlling; however, if Jon were mature he would not allow Kate to treat him as a child. If Deanne Hummel is willing to hurt eight innocent children for her own gain, she should not be teaching children. I think her school needs to take a long hard look at this situation and give her an ultimatum.

Kate, stop treating Jon like a child and perhaps he’ll stop behaving like one.

Kevin and Jodi are HYPOCRITES. They are getting PAID to speak to the tabloids and various other media outlets, as well as trying to sell their side of the story for $30,000. Yep, $30,000… They are willing to sell out their own family and exploit the situation for cash. They couldn’t care less about the Gosselin children. And apparently, they didn’t mind the show when THEY were on it. Back then, they never mentioned “exploitation”. Funny how they’ve changed their minds so quickly now that they’re no longer on the show. It’s all a money scam and hopefully people can see through their act. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Kate (I want everyting tape, because this will be who we are), is and can be very nasty…. Reading, hugging seems to be hard for kate to handle.

Go aunt Jody, with your story. You are no better than the parents making money off thier own family. I want to hear your story. I liked you in the show, it made Kate calm down.

Enough already!!!!! This family was in love with the media when they were getting paid to film their family, now their mad because the media is in their business regarding their marital problems. But the media apparently is still willing to pay them to tell their tales of woe. Gimmie a break!!!!! Everybody needs to grow the hell up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so grateful to Kevin and Jodi for protecting these children. Kate is so greedy and demanding that she would have no trouble making the kids “perform” when TLC wants. If the children don’t want their vacations ruined, what does it matter to HER? She could not care less.

I want to know whether this selfish witch has allowed enough of a percentage of the earnings to go into each of the kids’ accounts. (That’s assuming she bothered to set anything up for them.) Those childdren are going to need money for their therapy bills.

It’s so sad to see a family breaking up. Has either Kate or Jon considered what this will do to their children? Why is divorce always the first and final choice. Why couldn’t they announce that they are pulling the show and seeking counselling for everyone. Instead, these money-hungry, fame strucked adults choose to continue the show amidst this troubled time……..something just isn’t adding up here. I dont know who told Kate that divorce while the camera is still running will bring peace to her family. This whole thing is so sad especially for those 8 innocent adorable children.

Jon, Yous seemed like such a sweetheart on the show…you could see that changing as the episodes went by. Yes Kate might be a bit of a “self acknoledged” control freak. She is at least a responsible person who wants the best for your children. Is it too late to work it out? You can both be responsible…she can reign in her nonsense and you can stop being a crybaby needing constant attention and ego stroking and forgive each other and move on with a wonderful life, for your kids. Duh!
