Seriously, we never knew that there was such thing as National Donut Day, but today is the day to celebrate donuts.  Thinking this might be something new, we were wrong.  It all began back in 1938 as a fundraiser for the Salvation Army.

This is as great a reason as any to run to your local Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts shops and indulge in a little bit of heaven.

Over at Dunkin’ Donuts you can get a free donut with a purchase of a beverage, while supplies last.  So, what are you waiting for?  Let the CELEBRATION begin.
