Lou Diamond Phillips Wins I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
Actor Lou Diamond Phillips, best known for his portrayal of Ritchie Valens in the hit 1987 biopic La Bamba, proved to be ‘King of the Costa Rican Jungle’ and won the NBC summer reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! He was the early leader of the group, and was unanimously reelected to his post for a second week.
Phillips, 47, earned money for his charity Art Has Heart, a non-profit that provides college scholarships for needy high school students. Coming in second place was Torrie Wilson, a former pro wrestler. Third spot was cinched by former NBA star John Salley.
The motley group, co-hosted by Damien Fahey and Myleene Klaas, reassembled for the last show, including Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who bolted back to civilization after she became ill and had to be briefly hospitalized. They took their bizarre tales to the morning talk show circuit and in the process, got into a feud with Al Roker on The Today Show.
