Lisa Marie Presley Blogs About Ex-Husband Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley

Back in 1993 Lisa Marie Presley wed Michael Jackson, much to the world’s surprise.  Lisa admits that the timing seemed a little fishy with Michael fighting allegations of inappropriate behavior with minor children, but claims that her marriage to the King of Pop was real.

The short-lived union lasted 19 months and it was a dark time for both of them.   In some of their deep conversations, Michael believed that he would end up dying in much the same way as her father Elvis Presley, who passed away in 1977 due to health issues and drug abuse.

“I can’t recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my father’s death.  At some point he paused, he stared at me intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, ‘I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he died.’”

Lisa went on to say that Michael did surround himself with many ill-intentioned people and she tried very hard to help and support him.

“I became very ill and emotionally/spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behaviors and the awful vampires and leeches that he would always manage to magnetize around him.”

Lisa Marie said that she quickly realized she was in way over her head and had two young children to care for, which is why she ended the marriage.

Lisa’s blog on the subject, which she titled ‘He Knew‘, was laced with deep sadness.  She is certain that Michael knew his fate, which was indeed a mirror image of her father’s passing.  She said she is, “truly, truly gutted.”

  1. Redemption: The Truth Behind the Michael Jackson Child Molestation Allegation is the book that proves Michael Jackson was never a child molester. The author, Geraldine Hughes, worked for the attorney of the 13 year old accuser in 1993 and she witnessed an elaborate extortion scheme, launched as child molestation when MJ refused to pay the $20 million dollar movie demand. In loving memory of Michael Jackson, his family and children, I intend to clear his name for once and for all of the child molestation allegation. Get your copy of Redemption on Amazon.com.

  3. I would be inclined to believe Lisa Marie Presley over any and all I have read or heard comment about Michael Jackson’s life because she knew him like his family and fans (and his detractors) didn’t and/or couldn’t have known him, she knew him as his wife. I believe that only the two people who are in a the relationship truly understand the relationship they share or what their love is all about so to that end I say if Ms. Presley believes he loved her and that he wasn’t guilty of the charges that were brought against him time and time again, charges that he was later found on at least one occassion to be “not guilty of,” that he then is, “not guilty” but most probably and tragically a victim of his own fame and more. Colorful is what I’d say Michael Jackson was and that there is nothing wrong with his being that. He seems to have made the most of his life and he also seems to have lived it as inovatively as was his music. May he now rest in peace and may those also who loved him find peace in the good times they all shared. The world lost a bright light and everything that could have been had he not been taken from us.
