Michael Jackson recent London photos

It was bound to happen.  OK! Magazine reportedly paid $500,000 for the rights to use the death photo of Michael Jackson on the cover of their latest issue entitled Michael Jackson World Exclusive The Last Photos–on newsstands now.

While many may find the cover to be in bad taste, millions are gravitating to all of the salacious details surrounding the sudden death of the larger than life King of Pop.  We saw the same thing with the recent death of actor David Carradine.  People were drawn to the photos of the actor’s lifeless body dangling in a closet.

Our top photo shows Jackson’s last official appearance at a news conference in London, when his 50 concert engagement was announced some months ago.  He is reported to have 100 secret songs stashed away as a legacy to his children.  We are now hearing that there is another son – Omer Bhattiphotos here.

Is it a sign of the times or did OK! Magazine go too far?

Its going to be 3 years when she die in october 4, 2006 i really miss you and my own mother. Michael all of yours song is so wonderful even if you are die or not you are still in my heart forever and forever I LOVE WITH ALL OF MY HEART MJ

  11. Hey, is that an old pic? that guy is not MJ, he has a different nose, he s much alike to his BAD years, but not like MJ last days

  12. I can’t beleive that OK! magazine whould even think of putting a picture like this on the front cover, this is disgusting and completely disrespectfull. If some one’s dad had just passed away, would you like to go into your usual shop and see a photo of him like this? i would be fuming! and i recon that if its possible, the family should definatley think about sewing them!
i will never buy this magazine.

  13. I cant believe they did that to him and his family. He has been wronged for so long. Let him rest and stop making money off of his death. OK magazine is digusting for doing this. I will never buy this magazine.

  14. I can’t believe that they did that! And, yet, I’m not surprised at the same time. I first saw the cover Saturday night in Wal Mart, and I almost cried right there. It’s bad enough that people have it all over the TV and the internet. Ok! is just a follower, and they’re, to borrow from one of Michael’s songs (Tabloid Junkie), “so damn disrespectable”. His children are going to be seeing this picture all over the place. That is not the way they need to remember their father. They can’t get to him anymore, so they’re going after the family in a round about way. Sickening!

  15. Absolutely wrong of Ok! not only to have paid such a price for the picture (just to increase their sales) but to have published it after the fact.

For heavens sakes, didn’t everyone make enough money off him in life that they couldn’t allow his children and family some grieving time before they rip into him in death?

Disgusting…right up there with the Sun’s report on his autopsy results (which still have yet to be released)

  16. The cover is shocking!

  17. it was most definitely in poor taste, disrespectful, and downright disgusting. However, at the same time, it really is a sign of the times…obviously people, for whatever reason, are gravitating toward it.

I’m not sure which I find to be more sick, the people who have published such a photo, or the people who are flocking to find it. The man lived his entire life in the public eye, and I think the least we could do is let him have some dignity in death.

  18. awful..and its not ok..

  19. Yes, OK! was wrong to publish that. However, I think the Insider and ET were even more wrong for showing the same picture on TV and online.
