NY Rep. Peter King VIDEO, “Michael Jackson was a Pervert”

Rep Peter King speaks out against Michael JacksonMichael Jackson slammed in death by Peter King

New York Congressman Peter King made a video yesterday in which he called Michael Jackson a “pervert” and questioned why society is “glorifying a low-life”.

The self described blue collar conservative is apparently fed up with the coverage of the King of Pop and lambasted the media for reporting extensively on the life and death of Jackson.  He believes we should focus on the efforts of teachers, firemen, veterans, police officers and volunteers.

The Republican congressman from the 3rd Congressional District is reported to be considering a run for the Senate in 2010.

View his video below and let us know what you think.  Does he have a point or are his comments pointless?

  1. Words of wisdom!

  2. Great point, would you let your kids be alone with Mike? Didn’t think so

  3. I agree 100%. Sure michael was a great singer and dancer in the 80’s and 90’s but ive said it a million times before. Even before michaels death. We glorify the wrong people and put certain people and professions on a pedistal. Its wrong. Up until the news came out he died, noone was paying attention to him. He didnt have the support of alll his stars. Whacko jacko they called him and then with him going bankrupt noone was associating with him but they sure got their face in there and any attention they could grab post mortum… its all about the money. On top of it, wonder if King knows that if you didnt get a free ticket to the funeral or show you had to pay $25 bucks. Paying to go to a funeral?? How about paying for the fireman that died , 20 bucks for him so we can give it to his widow and childeren, now that is something ill pay for. Oh, who is paying for the security at the staples center? probably the taxpayers…

  4. Mr. King better be careful what he says remember when Jimmy Swaggard was bad mouthing and judging Jim Bakker all came back to bit him in the ass Never was it proven that Michael Jackson was guilty of anything.

  5. Totally agree with Peter King Michael Jackson has admitted to sharing a bed with kids – the way Michael Jackson acted with children wasnt right!! He left himself wide open to the charges – he may have been acquitted but should never have put himself in that situation in the 1st place – thought he was untouchable. Yes he was a great musician and will never be forgotten but he was certainly no hero!

  6. AMEN! I agree 100%. I love Peter King and I am pleased to have him in congress!!! We need more REAL PEOPLE in government and he’s got my vote and agreement completely! Mourning a JUNKIE PERVERT, disgusting and unforgivable.

  7. Why doesn’t the jackson Family pay for this circus?

  8. OJ WAS NOT CONVICTED EITHER, BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO CUT THE HEADS OFF TWO PEPOLE. THERE IS NO DOUBT HE WAS A PERERT. IF YOU DON’T THINK SO WOULD YOU LET YOUR KIDS GO HAVE A SLEEP OVER WITH HIM?

  9. He’s pretty much 100% right about this. We are currently circling the drain in this country, morally and intellectually. Our founding fathers would be appalled.

  10. The congressman is a bully. Dont jump on the bully’s bandwagon. Think for yourselves. No fun for the innocent to be labelled a pervert or paedophile and you have to question the integrity of the accuser. Lives and reputation get ruined with false accusations, salacious gossip and malicious rumours. Clearly the Congressman has some ‘power’, hence voicing his opinion with total disregard for a man who hasnt even been buried yet. What skeletons hide in the congressman’s closet or dare I spread rumours?!!

  11. Couldn’t agree more! The REAL news isn’t being reported the way it should. Instead all I see and hear morning, noon, and night, is about Michael Jackson. Some guy told a news reporter the other day that getting a ticket to the funeral was “the best thing that has ever happened to me”. It’s horrific if you ask me. Whether he was guilty or not of sexual abuse, what did he ever do to become such a hero in the public’s eyes? He was an entertainer, big deal! So was Farrah, Ed, and so so many others who’ve passed in my lifetime. Why single this funny looking dude out?? Now you have an already practically bankrupted city and state having to foot the bill for all of the extra security measures taken during yesterdays rediculousness. This country is going to hell in a handbasket and all anyone cares about is Michael Jackson….it’s sooo frustrating!!! In my opinion, the media is a JOKE!

  12. I agree cancer doctors and all those other fields he named deserves all the respect and honor in the world. but to go as far as saying Michael Jackson is a ‘pervert’ and a ‘child molester’ is unfair, In this country we are Innocent until proven guilty. Peter King was also very incorrect when calling Michael a ‘low-life’ , we all can very much see he was no low life. He had a life almost all of us could only dream about. Peter King has no right to judge how much Michaels fans, family, and friends should honor him. He was who they looked up to, their hero.

  13. OMG you people are so ignorant. It is not even worth an argument….laughable though. lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao

  14. Wow, I’m so glad that so many perfect people don’t suffer with any addiction or perversion issues themselves or in their families that have become public fodder. And Mr. King did not speak from personal experience nor did his statement offer anything new or enlightening since we’ve all garnered our information over the years about Michael Jackson’s personal life from the same media coverage that has now offended Mr. King. But then perhaps Mr. King is the expert on what is INTENTIONALLY disrespectful and dishonoring and what is not. His ill-timed and ill-mannered comments seem proof enough to me of his own capacity for disrespect , not the frenzy of media coverage given to Michael Jackson’s death and funeral. I’m curious too why I haven’t yet seemed to find a public incident where Michael Jackson was ever INTENTIONALLY opinionated, disrespectful or crude to the mass of paparazzi, media hounds or in fact, anyone? This does not imply superior character and I’m not glorifying Michael Jackson’s personal life of which I have absolutely no personal experience. If perhaps the “shoe were on the other foot” so to speak, I’m left wondering what would Michael Jackson’s comments be on the coverage of Mr. King’s death and funeral? I can only form yet another opinion using the same media, but I’m guessing that it would be something gracious and respectful, as well it should be.

  15. hahahaha …Im am surprised I am laughing because at first he really really really pissed me off.. but then I realized that no matter what any of you say…. MILLIONS of others disagree….and as far as the child molestation cases go, well let me ask you all this, if ANYONE famous or not hurt your child, and you were 100% sure of it, wouldn’t you stop at nothing to either make sure the person was dead or in jail? Or would 20 million be enough for you to say , oh okay my kids coo now becasue we got the money. Thats proof enough right there. Its also proof when the kid comes out and admitts he was lying. So many people (especially whites) love to see someone great be beaten and broken down becasue they are soooo fed up with their own lives. I will admit though that yes I do think that the media should just leave it all alone, and cover other issues, but i donot agree because I dont think he is worth it, I agree becasue I think they should let him die in peace.

  16. As a black american I would just like to say that Michael Jackson is a part of my history. I don’t appreciate Mr. King bashing him for the mistakes that he has made in the past. MJ has done so many good things. He was a humanitarian and was in the record books for being the preformer who gave the most back to the the less fortunate. He probably did not make the best decisions with these boys but we don’t know for sure that he had any sexual contact with these boys. He was proven innocent. As for the honoring people like teacher, doctors, and the people who fight for our country, we should have been doing that a long time ago. You’re bringing that up now!? People bring that same topic up everyday. Nothings going to change. They get paid just like the rest of us.
I hope you all respect the fact that Michael Jackson opened many windows for people like me. Its too bad that his death was so sudden. I think Michael Jackson deserves to be recognized for all he has done. It too bad childhood stars always turn out to be crazy, drug-addicted, and wierd. Its too bad Michael Jackson never got a chance to know what normal really is. RIP MJ. F ignorant a-holes.
And yes I’m black and I don’t care if you don’t care. PEACE!

  17. How dare you speak ill of the dead! Talk about Mark Foley and HIS dirty deeds.
It’s too bad Peter king has nothing better to do.
Michael Jackson was not a pervert. All those parents wanted was check. If my child was ‘touched’ by someone I would make sure that they did some jailtime. That’s what a REAL parent would do. But they got their money and all the sudden everythings ok.
You’re a coward. Talk about someone who’s alive.

  18. this is not a so kind person. how can anyone say that MJ was a pedo when is was NEVER proven gulty! how would he like if someone accused him of something but was never prven guilty?

understand what he’s saying with the men and women who have died for there country but, end of the day, its the US goverment who sent the US into Iraq on false lies just to get cheap oil.

the man should have more respect for others.

  19. Yes, Michael Jackson was indeed a PERVERT whether he was convicted of child molestation or not! I guess all you people who don’t think he was a pervert never saw the music video where he unzips his pants and started PLAYING WITH HIS CROTCH!!!! As a parent, I am saying that behavior is entirely inappropriate for a musician with a large child fan base.

Just because someone writes catchy songs and can dance well does not mean that can do anything and get away with it.

Whether he molested kids or not, I do not know. However, I do know he will stand before God and give an account of his life like we all will someday!

  20. The media often (too often) manipulates information and data, skewing the truth and sometimes reporting complete untruths. And as a whole, it seems we believe everything we see on television, hear on the radio and read anywhere. It’s unfortunate we eat it up, hungry for more. And the more sensational, absurd and spectacular the information is, the more it sells. So the media isn’t alone, we shoulder some responsibility because we support the insanity. We not only support it, we finance it. Having said that, Mr. King is an ignorant fool. Whatever we’re paying him for his role as Congressman, it’s too much. This is the best approach the congressman could come up with to remedy the lack of respect and focus on our troops? You know Peter, if you want to bring the focus and attention to the firefighters, police officers and soldiers that are fighting to protect the citizens of this country, why don’t you use your power and visibility to campaign for them. Why use Michael Jackson’s celebrity and media coverage? That makes no sense. So, if I had the time and cared enough to check, would I find you tube clips posted by you bashing all of hollywood? It seems at any given point in time at least one celebrity if not several has all of the media attention for some indiscretion that’s been made public. And many of them haven’t made a positive impact on anything. Forget that Michael Jackson was never convicted because innocent people are convicted everyday in this country just as plenty of guilty people go free. None of those allegations were ever proven. Furthermore, don’t you think its suspect that the accuser’s family walked away when they got their payday? Would you walk away? Wouldn’t you want justice? Millions of dollars isn’t justice, not even close. And didn’t the second boy admit to lying after all? Peter, aren’t you just as guilty here as the media for believing and then regurgitating everything they say and write? Personal life aside, Michael Jackson made an indelible mark on multiple generations worldwide. His success and talent opened doors and hearts for many. You don’t have to like him, but you can’t deny that he is a legend. And that is a fact Peter like it or not. MJ touched people ALL over the world. His humanitarian efforts are unmatched. And you Peter, what have you done? And if we opened up your closet and aired out your dirty laundry, would your accomplishments outweigh your skeletons? Probably not. You want people to focus on the men and women fighting and dying for our country? Take to the streets and shout it from every corner. Go on Larry King Live and talk about THEM, not them compared to whatever else is hogging up the media’s attention. It’s not MJ’s fault that society is so twisted. Based on his music, he would’ve preferred the media cover world hunger or our environmental decline; not his personal life. Lowlife Mr. King? How many starving children have you fed? How much of your income to you donate to charitable foundations with absolutely nothing to gain in return? If you’re like many of your constituents, not enough. At the end of the day, the best way to draw attention to our fighters out there is to talk about them, praise them, and promote them. Don’t take away from their heroism by finding it necessary to promote them with some negative commentary about someone else. Look in the mirror when you say lowlife Peter, your reflection may just wave back at you.

  21. Peter King is an imbecile. And for those of you quoting scripture and talking about God’s judgement; remember that he made it clear that it’s his job to judge, not YOURS. God’s message is love and compassion for all not judgment and ill will. Wake up people!

  22. This is the best method of promoting our troops, fireman and police officers you could come up with? Not very effective Peter. If this is your best then whatever we’re paying you is too much. If you want to draw attention to our fighters then promote them, praise them and fight for them, but don’t take away from their heroism by using negative commentary about someone else to do so. Peter you’re just as guilty as the media for believing and regurgitating everything they say and write. Whether you like it or not, the reality is that personal life aside, Michael Jackson is a legend. He made an indelible mark on multiple generations. His talent, love and success have touched and opened hearts worldwide. His humanitarian contributions to the world were significant. Personal life aside, can the same be said for you? Look in the mirror when you say lowlife Peter, your reflection may just wave back at you.

  23. he was a great singer and dancer and his songs are the only ones i no off by heart cause there so gud but what people like peter dont get is that u can easily convict him of doing something but he got away wiv it (but payed there families)and who was in that bed room wiv michael and them children – no one ..was peter king secretly filming every waking minuiet of it – NO so he should shut it! realy now no one will no what happened cause every ones calling each otha a lier and even the involved children arent saying anything to go against him or defend him anymore cause there confused wiv all the press. hes(peters) the lowlife – what GOOD has he done in this world …..maybe it wasnt rite michael sharing a bed wiv kids – if he eva did but he just wanteed to share the love.
