Maya Angelou Poem: We Had Him, Queen Latifah VIDEO Michael Jackson Memorial Service
Queen Latifah read an original poem at the public memorial service for Michael Jackson today at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The moving words were those of famed poet Maya Angelou, who wrote the piece for this special occasion.
Another touching moment was the short speech by Paris Katherine Jackson – see video here.
Also performing was Jennifer Hudson, who sang Will You Be There – video and photos here.

I will NEVER spend one AMERICAN CENT on any work from these fools Mourning a JUNKIE PERVERT!
Thank you Maya, for sharing a heartfelt vision of the beauty emitted so freely from MJ’s heart…unconditionally ` forever more!
Hugs, Deb
Michael Jackson’s funeral was done in very high class just like he lived.
I was just disapointed they never allowed the public see his body, because your going to have some nut’s going around saying Michael Jackson is alive still.
But if anyone is ever in dought tell them take a look at his Mother that can not be faked, or the rest of the family.
I just pray that Michael will be in heaven with Jesus forever. I know during his trial Randy, and Jessie Jackson preached the plan of Salvation to him, and they had Michael praying every morning at 4:00 am before going to court.
So I believe God answered my longtime prayer that God would allow some one into Michael Jackson’s circle to witness the true Gospel to him before Michael left this world. And Praise God my prayer’s were answered just 5 years ago.
That is all that counts in this life is what we do with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father.
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE. LATE MICHAEL JACKSON OWE THE BLACK WORLD AN APOLOGY FOR DISREGARDING THE BLACK RACE (CHANGING HIS SKIN COLOUR, PUTTING ARTIFICIAL NOSE AND OTHER SURGERIES) AND REGARDING THE WHITE RACE.

from Gabon
he had a skin disorder for cryin out tears!
He was a wonderful musician and about any of his personal business or if he did or did not I do not know because the media is always carrying on about something or nothing just to be carrying on.
I dreamt of him and something about dogs and triangle and something hid so I guess I was more affected than even I would have guessed before all of this happened.
There is no good or bad for us to say because judgment and revenge are the lords.
I will miss his antics and talent and I feel for his family, especially his children.
RIP Mr.Jackson and may God have mercy on your soul.
someone’s a heartless jerk
The funeral was done in execellant taste and Katherine is a very strong woman who has a great group of kids who will support during a time of morning. My heart goes out to the entire Jackson Family; as well as the world.
We miss you MJ!
the world love him but scared of what will become of the children.
