Michael Jackson Memorial Service (FUNERAL PHOTOS)
The funeral of Michael Jackson was held at Staples Arena on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. The crowd was a mix of family, invited guests and a group of participants who were fortunate to have had their names picked from a worldwide lottery. Our lead photo is the cover of the Michael Jackson memorial booklet that was given to those attending the memorial service.
The Jackson family paid their last respects at a private family ceremony Monday night at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in LA, where Jackson will be buried after his public memorial service.
A hearse transported the body of Michael Jackson to the Staples Center. The singers brothers serviced as pallbearers, helping to carry the coffin that was covered in a huge spray of red roses.
The service lasted two hours and ended with Jackson’s daughter Paris Katherine Jackson taking the microphone to share with the world what her father meant to her. She said, “He was the best father you could ever imagine.” She then broke down in tears and was consoled by her aunt Janet Jackson and her uncles, who led her away from the microphone.

I can’t believe he is really gone. Looking at his videos and photos Im very sad. I am watching and listening live of the memorial in LA since sadly I did not win a ticket.
You can do the same here and feel like you are right there!
I just wish Michael could have hear what was say today, that would have really make him feel GOOD. to know so many people really loved him. and to see how the good he did out did the bad things some say about him. love you Micheal.

It is hard to look at these photos without being very sad. I am deeply hurt by what has happened to this beautiful angel.
I am such a big fan of Michael Jackson, since I was 11, I am 19 now. To me he is the greatest entertainer ever but he’s also a fantastic person, a wonderful father and an inspiration to me and to the world. I’ve never had the chance to meet him but I feel like I knew him, I feel like he was family. I will love and cherish him always and forever. He is forever in my heart!!
One more thing…….
It is tragic and horrible what the media has done to him. They say such evil things that are mostly lies. They have no respect, all they want is money and it makes me sick. To this day they’re still talking nasty of him. The media can GO TO HELL!!! Yes he should be talked about all the time but they should be more POSITIVE about him instead of negative. He deserves all the attention and love but make it POSITIVE PLEASE!!!
