Paris Hilton, the star of the reality show My New BFF,  is on trial in Miami for not promoting her 2006 movie Pledge This.  The film’s investors have filed a federal lawsuit claiming that Paris did not do her part in promoting the sorority hijinks movie that grossed a measly $2.9 million worldwide.

The suit also claims that Hilton did not promote the DVD release, and they are looking for a settlement of $8 million in losses, from the star and her entertainment firm.  Hilton claims she did everything she could to promote the film.

The trial starts today and Paris is expected to take the stand tomorrow to testify.  We wonder what Hilton’s past movies have brought in?

Hilton has been in Dubai filming her latest season of My New BFF.  Where did her BFF go from last season?  She didn’t stick around too long.
