Jennifer Elia is Chaz Bono’s Girlfriend (PHOTOS)

Chaz Bono and his girlfriend Jennifer Elia attended last night’s Outfest Opening Night Gala of “La Mission” at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

This was Chaz Bono’s first public appearance since he began his gender transformation earlier this year.

Chaz, the son of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, changed his name from Chastity while undergoing the sex change.

Outfest is the largest film festival for LGBT-themed movies in the country.

Jennifer and Chaz are longtime partners and live in West Hollywood.

I think it’s wonderful for him, he’s very brave to put up with the public scrutiny….sometiime this happens to people, they get trapped in a different body. Good luck to him.
