Lil Wayne Lawsuit: Too Drunk To Perform
Rapper Lil Wayne disappointed 5,500 fans who had paid to see him perform in Nassau last September and now he is faced with a lawsuit.
Red City Entertainment hired Lil Wayne aka Dwayne Carter, Jr. and paid him $210,000 in advance to perform. When he became a no-show for the concert, the promoters called the police. Law enforcement was called upon to do a welfare check and found him passed out in his hotel room.
When the story first hit, Lil Wayne tried to put a creative spin on it, indicating that he was too tired to perform but the legal team for Red City Entertainment didn’t buy it for a minute, suggesting instead that he was wasted.
Red City’s lawsuit could force Lil Wayne to pay the promoters back a big chunk of change.
