Over the weekend at a Red Bull X-Fighters event in Madrid, Metal Mulisha athlete Cam Sinclair was seriously injured while attempting to perform a double backflip.  He under-rotated which caused him to miss the landing and hit the ramp as he descended.

He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, suffering severe internal bleeding from a lacerated liver, a bruised brain, broken shoulder and broken cheek.  Medical personnel put him into an induced coma and rushed him into surgery to repair his liver.

Cam’s website has a medical update which indicates that Sinclair has opened his eyes and has been able to respond to instructions and has squeezed the hand of his fiance Brooke.  Doctors are hopeful that his condition will continue to improve.
