Ashleigh Kenny RIP US Constitution (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Valdosta college student Ashleigh Kenny is causing quite a controversy not only in Georgia but across the nation with a t-shirt that she designed and is selling. The shirt front reads “R.I.P. The U.S. Constitution.” On the back is a Ronald Reagan quote, “In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem”
The 21-year-old hopes to spread awareness with the sale of the shirts. She said, “Our government is getting too big. How big can be debated, but the truth is, the government is bigger than the people. Therefore, the constitution is under attack. No matter which way you look at it, it is.”
She hopes to make a difference with the message, and she invites others of her generation. She wants her peers to throw on a t-shirt, walk around, and spread the word. She got national recognition when she appeared on the Bill Maher Show on HBO.
Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) posed with Kenny and the t-shirt at a health care town hall meeting last week. He seems particularly pleased with the sentiment. After taking a great deal of flak over his posting of the photo on his Flickr account, he defended himself and said he was simply trying to help inspire a young activist who had approached him.

I find it disingenuous that people all of a sudden care about the expansion of the government. Especially considering during the past 8 years, we saw the largest expansion in our country’s history. And these people were silent. Why are they all of a sudden upset about how large the government has gotten?
I didn’t hear any complaints when they passed the PATRIOT Act. I didn’t see any town hall protests over the Department of Homeland Security.
If people were truly concerned about government expenses, they’d start questioning the military budget and all these costly wars.
You go girl. How true. President Obama and big government is subverting the constitution at every turn. The founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.
What a joke..is that a real radio station? The college student has more class and talent than the jerk on the radio! What has happened to radio…that guy is absolutely terrible!! What a joke!
I support Ashleigh 100 percent. I myself am I conservative college student and I am so thankful that we have people like her to help take a stand and show the U.S. that the government is going in the wrong direction. This is going to have such a positive impact on our youth. Way to go Ashleigh!
