There is nothing better than a little smack talk from time to time between A-list celebrities.  Inglourious Basterds star Brad Pitt has been making the rounds on a press tour for his current big screen film and managed to take a few jabs at the Tom Cruise flick Valkyrie.

In an interview with German magazine Stern, Pitt said, “World War II could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin Tarintino put a cover on that pot.  With ‘Basterds‘, everything that can be said to this genre has been said.  The film destroys every symbol.  The work is done, end of story…(Valkyrie) was a ridiculous movie.”

So there!  He said it, now it’s Tom’s turn…
