Fugitive Ryan Alexander Jenkins, the prime suspect in the death of his wife Jasmine Fiore, was discovered hanged in a closet of a British Columbia motel by a staff member on Sunday afternoon, August 23. Thunderbird Motel manager Kevin Walker said, "It was a man hanging by a belt from a coat rack."
According to Walker, a 20-25 year old woman dropped Jenkins off at the motel in Hope, B.C., on Friday. She was driving a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser with Alberta license tabs.
The former Playboy model's mutilated body was discovered in a dumpster in Buena Park near Anaheim, California on August 15. Stuffed in her own suitcase, her fingers and teeth had been removed in an effort to conceal her identify.
In 2007, Jenkins was given 15 months probation and ordered into counseling for domestic violence and sex addiction following an assault charge. He was also charged in June with battery for striking Fiore with his fist.
