Texting While Driving PSA – WARNING: Graphic Video

A Texting While Driving PSA, currently airing in Great Britain, is creating controversy for it’s graphic nature.

The four minute plus texting PSA shows the deadly aftermath of what can happen when you are distracted by texting.

Although I would never drink and drive, I am ashamed to admit that I have been guilty of texting while driving – a choice that can clearly have deadly consequences.  While the PSA may be deemed by some to be inappropriately graphic (YouTube requires users to be 18 to view the video), I, for one, can attest to the effectiveness of the campaign.  The video was a huge wake-up call to me, and I will no longer be texting and driving.

Watch the Texting While Driving PSA video below.  Again, I must warn that this is an extremely graphic and disturbing video, however, I feel compelled to post this since it had such a powerful effect on me:

  1. Good job. At least SOMEONE had the balls to create something meaningful and graphic enough to reach the IDIOTS who text while driving a deadly weapon. I see these people EVERY DAY while driving to work; I even had one this morning drive so eradically that I was afraid to be behind them. If I could just shoot them, perhaps they would refrain. Hmmmmm…..

  2. It’s hard to fix stupid.

  3. yeah i agree with ya’ll

  4. omg this is so sad, it definitly stoped me from texting wow great gob!

  5. Bad enough that in front of people this is rude. But what if this were my grandchildren? How can a person live with this?

  6. i am just wondering if this video is real and if this exact event took place?????
because the camera that filmed this seems to be pretty steady and clear which rules out a cell phone cam and if someone was using a camera in the car then they would have been injured and would have dropped the camera.
so is this just made to show the possible consequences of texting while driving, or is it a remake of an event, or is it something that actually happened, or is it fake????

  7. I think this video clip is a good source of learning and getting a positive idea from it and to stop those who are using cell phone or chating behind the wheel..
    Please listern to this…….
TAKE CARE IS BETTER THAN SORRY OR TO BE REGERET….

I HOPE EVERYBODY STOP CHATING DURING DRIVING

  8. ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO SEE THIS BEFORE THEY GET A DRIVING LICENCE.

  9. Ok, Gforce needs to chill and stop putting so much emphasis on what they say.
The impact of this video on everyone’s eyes is obvious, so we don’t need someone acting like he/she is smarter than everyone else.
So chill out G, we get the message.

But yeah, this got to me, I am 18, and I my self have already been in an accident with my best friend, which I totaled my car.
But it was not drug/alcohol/text or call-related, it was slippery-wet-road, non-traction control related.

I just hope everyone heeds this warning,
    Good video.

  10. Its about time someone showed something like this video, I think youngsters and well as old should see this video, I have even seem people watching tv screens on the visors while driving. Its as dangerous as drunk driving, God help us all.

  11. life is TOO short as it is… this is horrible and it is about time someone made this video.
everyone seems to think that it cannot happen to them.
    how heartbreaking.

  12. Well… this taught me one thing. British cars are death traps.

  13. It is a fake video, Just to answer the question, If you can be fast with the eyes and see that the girl in the back seat has broken out the small quarter glass with her head, Later you can clearly see in two different angles that both quarter glass are not broken. Still a good job with the video.
