Music giant Billboard has named Beyonce Knowles Woman of the Year.  The singer will be honored in New York City on October 2, when she will accept the coveted award.  Past recipients have been Reba McIntyre and Ciara.

Is it any wonder?  Beyonce has a smash hit Singles Ladies, performed for President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at an inaugural ball in January, starred in the hit movie Obsessed, and has been enjoying a hugely successful arena tour.
