Duggar Family Baby News: Number 19 (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Michelle Duggar appeared via satellite on the Today Show with her large family on Tuesday September 1, 2009 to announce that they will welcome their nineteenth child next year. The Springdale, Arkansas mother of eighteen gave birth in December to a baby girl, Jordyn-Grace.
The oldest Duggar son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna Duggar are expecting their first child on October 18, a girl who will be named Mackynzie Renee. The child will be the first grandchild of Jim Bob Duggar and his wife.

Not a surprise there!
I pity Michelle’s poor uterus!
I am not sure that having that many kids is a healthy thing, as lovely as it sounds. My grandmother had 14, and I feel it did damage on her body, physically and hormonally. And as a nurse, it is even harder to see this. The health of the baby is now in jeopardy.
But, it isn’t for me to pass judgment… so best of luck.
How wonderful to see a husband and wife express their love for each other by welcoming children into their lives. We should all be so lucky to be part of a loving family.
There seems to be a contest to see who can have the most babies. This is about publicity and the public’s facination with sensational situations such as this. As long as we watch, these people will behave accordingly. Why are people watching this nonsense?When I was a child there were two families in our town- one with 15 kids and one with 16. It was thought as shameful and the parents were seen as irresponsible. Those kids grew up like weeds. No education, etc. I don’t care how well-meaning or fertile these Duggar’s are- this is not a good thing.
The earth is approaching 7 billion and resources are stretched to the maximum. Western civilizations are supposed to be leading the world by example. What sort of example is this? Just because we CAN reproduce a 19 child doesn’t mean we SHOULD.
Why? I can’t be happy because this is ridiculous! I feel so sorry for the older kids. When are they going to have a life and go to college? They are raising their kids. OMG! Quit!!!!
I believe this is wonderful. Both sides of our family were large. My father was the eldest of 13 while my grandmother was actually pregnant 16 times.
My mother had 9 siblings.
On my spouse’s side grandma was pregnant ?15 times and his dad was the eldest of 15. While I was blessed with 4 and prayed for more, yet I could not have more, and the list goes on.
Family get togethers are so much fun. It is hard to get lonely for all we have to do is pick up the phone, check the mail or now jump on the internet.
How can people claim being irresponsible if they are not being asked for help or money out of anyones pocket.

This whole media circus with this family is disgusting. These people are being applauded for being irresponsible, selfish, and short sighted. Big deal, so super womb popped out another one. Let’s all rejoice over yet another mouth to feed on this planet, more wasted natural resources, and a larger carbon foot print. Giving these creepy folks their own show with all the “benefits” will only encourage more irresponsible, selfish, out of control breeding from other couples desperate to get attention. Those poor kids can’t even get a decent amount of undevided attention from their parents… that’s why they have to raise one another. Pure exploitation at it’s worst!
