The actor with three first names, Jason David Frank has decided to give MMA a shot. He gained early fame on the hit series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and is now devoting his time and energy in a different direction--mixed martial arts.
His started training with the intention of beginning his fight career in 2007 but the 35-year-old former Green Ranger held off until he felt he had a serious shot. He has a blue belt in BJJ from Gracie Baja and has added wrestling training with UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard. He is also working with hardcore trainer Saul Soliz to pull it all together.
Frank has signed on with Suckerpunch Entertainment and will make his professional debut shortly. His goal is to "just go out there and do my best, and prove that I'm a real fighter. I'm not looking for any titles specifically. Ultimately, I want to give my fans something to watch and be proud of."
Good luck Green Ranger. The fact remains that others have tried with lackluster results--just ask Jose Canseco.
