Janet Jackson 2009 VMA Performance Video

Janet Jackson paid tribute to Michael Jackson, performing a “Scream” dance off with her late brother at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

The Michael Jackson tribute began with Madonna honoring the King of Pop in a speech about her relationship with him.

Madonna ended her speech saying, “Yes, Michael Jackson was a human being but he was a king. Long live the king!” eliciting a standing ovation from the audience.

Then live dancers took to the stage, performing in sync with Jackson’s greatest hits videos playing on a giant video screen in the background.

Janet Jackson joined the onstage dancers, shattering through glass to end the tribute with an intense performance.

I had chills watching her synchronising her dance movements with Michael behind her on the giant screen. WOW!!!
And I cried when at the end Janet looked up in the air as if she was saying something to Michael.She looked fierce.

Michael Jackson is and will always be the king of pop…the performance that Janet did was absolutely amazing Scream was one of my favorite videos…it almost brought me 2 tears when i seen how they edited the video to show Janet dancing next to her brother GREAT GREAT PERFORMANCE !

Kudo’s to whoever did Janet’s choreography. The routine was cool, but I’m really tired of Janet lip-synching. Have you noticed she is really starting to look more and more like papa Joe in a lace-front weave. I’m glad she did a tribute but I like Latoya’s song Home tribute better. Latoya’s vocals are much better and she is the only one with any personality in the family and she was the first there at the hospital, signed the death certificate, and planned the memorial, and has since promoted Michael’s charities. Janet went right back to work on Tyler Perry’s movie and back in the studio to record yet another sex song with a dated beat just in time to make money off of her brother’s death. Sad, Sad, Sad.

I’m just saying, Great performance…but it did KINDA look like she was lip singing at one part….but other than that….PERFECT and Great great job!!!

janet did great i loved it you go gurl and for xxfamous1xx the only reason why she lip singed was because she wanted to show her brother respect and let him shine on his part of the song
