Raymond Clark III has been arrested for the murder of 24-year-old Yale student Annie Le.

Clark, 24, worked as a lab technician in the same building as Le, who’s body was found stuffed behind a basement wall in the lab on the same day she was supposed to get married.

The official cause of Le’s death was ruled as “traumatic asphyxiation due to neck compression.”

Investigators began watching Clark a day after Le’s body was discovered. He was picked up in his home on Tuesday, taken in for questioning and DNA testing, then released from custody.

Computer records from Yale suggested the muscular lab technician was the last person to see Le alive. He also reportedly failed a lie detector test and had scratch marks on his chest.

Swipe cards used to move through the college buildings showed that Le and Clark were in the same room shortly after 10 a.m. on September 8. Le’s card wasn’t used again after that, but Clark swiped into the area where Le’s body was found five days later.

Although there have been reports that Clark had an “unrequited love interest” in Le, authorities refuse to comment on the nature of Clark and Le’s relationship, saying only that the two worked in the same building and passed each other in the halls.

Ray Clark lives with his fiancee, Jennifer Hromadka. The couple planned to wed in December 2011, according to their incomplete wedding website.

Hromadka slammed rumors that Clark was cheating on her last year on her Myspace:

“My boyfriend, Ray, if you don’t know him, has no interest in any of the other girls at
