Shakira on America’s Got Talent Finale (VIDEO)
Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, better known as Shakira, performed her new single She Wolf on the the NBC America’s Got Talent Finale last night. The Colombian singer and songwriter is as much about the sexy moves as the music with her Arabic belly dancing, part of her Lebanese heritage from her father.
The 32-year-old was a child prodigy who went on to win two Grammy Awards and seven Latin Grammy Awards. She is the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time and the second most successful female Latin singer, having sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
The full album She Wolf is due out in October 2009 from Epic and features a predominantly English track list. Shakira recently confirmed in a radio interview that she will embark on a tour in 2010.

NBC- shame on you for allowing this xxx-rated act on a
family oriented show! This should never have been allowed! You had children watching this vulgar display, as well as children that were there to see it live! PLEASE in the future SCREEN the acts you allow on live t.v. and whoever let this one slip through, please do not allow them to line up the acts in the future! It was distastful and disgraceful to saythe least, but the very worse of the whole mess was the children that were exposed to this.
I’ve always been a Madonna fan. What Shakira did (graphically ride an imaginary big long penis with her behind to the camera) was unsuitable for prime time TV. There was no excuse for showing that for children to watch.
You all must be old or not getting any any more. I did not expect that on Prime Time TV but I sure did enjoy it. I would watch that again and again!!!
