Nell Scovell Claims “Hostile Environment” at Letterman Show (VIDEO)

Former Letterman writer Nell Scovell was a guest on the Joy Behar Show last night. She was on to talk about the hostile environment that she encountered back in the late 80’s, while she was writing for the talk show host.
Things got so bad during her 5 month tenure on Late Night with David Letterman that she left because of what she characterized as a “hostile, sexually charged atmosphere.” Scovell gave a blistering first-hand account in Vanity Fair under the header Letterman and Me.
Check out more photos and her video interview below.

This is hardly news to any of us in show business. I guess everyone has forgotten Jane Curtain’s scathing ripping-apart of SNL and Lorne Michaels back in the day. Tina Fey is one lucky girl. And while you’re at it, talk to Julia Sweeney about Pat. Joy could have had a full house of sexism on her show but, as usual, missed the boat because she doesn’t know the REAL show business. P.S. She also hates Letterman because Dave doesn’t like her and never invited her back after one showing. He likes the pretty young girls.
