Over the top seems to be what singer Lady Gaga goes for with each and every move she makes—always managing to top the last. Her newest video project, Bad Romance, is no exception.

I counted 13 changes — 15 if you want to take a liberal count. Here’s how they break down.
One — the opening sequence. Two — the white latex outfit when she gets out of the coffin. Three — the delicate pink number in the bathtub. Four — dressed in black and talking in front of the mirror. Five — the vulnerable closeup (though she’s technically not wearing all that much). Six — the diamond and white number when she’s stripped down in front of the mafia men. (The burlap sack prior to getting stripped.) Seven — naked in dim lighting in the shower. Eight — the black, white, and floating diamond rotating shot. Nine — the odd silver disc thing. Ten — the Alexander McQueen outfit. Eleven — walking toward the man dressed in full fur. (And the requisite strip down to lingerie.) Twelve — the red final number. Thirteen — laying on the burned bed.
Never mind. It’s twelve. The first few closeups don’t show the headpiece in her hair; latter ones (from the naked sequence) do. So, it’s twelve slash fourteen.
