ABC is reportedly in final negotiations to bring back the iconic 70s television show Charlie’s Angels.  The original Aaron Spelling series, that launched the careers of Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson, ran from 1976-1981.

According to Variety, the 2000 and 2003 Charlie’s Angel movies were well received, starring Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. While recent remakes of Melrose Place and 90210 have not garnered strong ratings, ABC is banking on a remake of the Angels doing well.

The key to success will be casting three extraordinarily gorgeous and talented actresses to recreate the magic.  Will they go with know actresses or rely on a few relatively unknown fresh faces for the project?
