Tiger Woods Drug Overdose a Suicide Attempt?

Right now, Tiger Woods and his family are at the center of a fire storm that just keeps building. The pro golfer’s reported infidelity on a major scale has fueled rumors that his wife Elin Nordegren has moved out of the couple’s Windermere home. The ever-growing mistress count is currently at seven.
TMZ is reporting that sources attached to Health Central Hospital are saying that Tiger was admitted the day after Thanksgiving because of an apparent overdose. Careless pill taking or attempted suicide?
A hospital employee states that the fifth floor of the hospital was on lock down after Woods arrived. Tiger was registered under the alias William Smith and was admitted to the intensive care unit, with his wife Elin by his side.
Paramedics suspected drugs at the scene and they questioned Tiger’s wife about what he might have taken. Elin gave the paramedics two bottles of pills that she quickly retrieved from their home; one was the sleep aid Ambien and the other Vicodin.
Tiger was reportedly put on a breathing tube to support his depressed respiration. The sources stated that they changed Tiger’s alias after a few hours fearing people would find out that he was at the hospital.
The latest breaking news in the continuing saga is a 911 call that came into Orange County paramedics overnight, reporting that a middle-aged woman at the home of Tiger Woods was in distress. The woman, believed to be Elin Nordegren’s mother Barbro Holmberg, was transported to Health Central Hospital. Her daughter was following closely behind in one of the family’s black Cadillac Escalades. See photos and video here.

This is just getting worse and worse. I’m not surprised however. Tiger needs to own up to everything or it’s never going to get better.
As sad as the whole Tiger Woods situation is, perhaps it might prompt us to re-evaluate the institution of marriage, and whether it is still a viable institution. Assuming, for purposes of argument, that there is no biological component associated with cheating, then simply examining the conduct of golfer Woods, Albert Einstein, Gov. Mark Sanford, Sen. John Edwards, Sen. John Ensign, inventor Henry Ford, Presidents Wilson, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Clinton, would strongly suggest that many do not respect the institution as presently constituted or evolved.
re rreggie greene’s comment….why is it just men you listed (that apparently don’t embrace the sanctity of marriage)? It seems women like marriage for the financial benefits and men want heirs…preferrably male.
I was given one of the meds Tiger Woods was, and without knowing it, I drive 50 miles. Ambien should be tested for EACH individual it’s prescribed for, or taken off the market completely, until no one ends up doing very strange and potentionally very dangerous things. I survived a miracle. Obviously, not everyone does, and Tiger, who has the money should sue his physician and the drug makers who make this garbage. Why does a golfer get all of this ludicrous publicity, when so many musicians get more offers and they take more women per person than this golfer? Not ALL male musicians, but many, many, many, many, many, many, have people who choose females out of the audience just to have sex with the act, the crew, or anyone who will givw these people back stage stick on passes, which really mean nothing. It’s difficult to know which are the tackiest – males or females.
Who are we to judge him for his wrongdoing??? There are millions of people out there who do this same thing however because they are not famous we will never hear anything about it. Why should he be thrown in the spotlight just because he is rich and famous?? He shouldn’t!!! Everyone makes mistakes and we are not the ones who are to judge ones mistakes.
