Most people are well versed on the identity of New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees -- a favorite among the "Who Dat Nation". Fans aren't nearly as familiar with his beautiful wife Brittany Brees. We're about to rectify that with a few facts and a photo gallery.
Drew's wife was born Brittany Dudchenko. They met at Purdue where they attended college and were married in February 2003. Drew joined the Saints in 2006, prompting the couple to purchase and renovate a home in Uptown New Orleans. They have a son Baylen Robert Brees who was born on January 15, 2009 -- on his father's 30th birthday.
The couple is becoming increasingly known for their charitable endeavors. They donated $2 million to Purdue to help enhance the athletics programs at their Alma mater. They have also inspired others to return to Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans by lending their name and support to the rebuilding efforts.
Drew and Brittany established The Brees Dream Foundation in 2003. Its mission is to advance research in the fight against cancer and provide care, education and opportunities for children in need. Since its inception, the foundation has committed more than $4.5 million to charitable causes in New Orleans and San Diego. The organization was initially self-funded and has grown due to the generous contributions from individuals and corporations across the globe.
