Sweet 16: Diddy Gives Son $360,000 Car for Birthday

360,000 Maybach diddy gives son

It doesn’t get much sweeter than this. In addition to a lavish, star-studded party, Sean “Diddy” Combs gave his son a $360,000 Maybach luxury sedan for his 16th birthday.

Diddy threw his son Justin Dior Combs a party at M2 Ultralounge club in Manhattan, featuring performances by rappers Fabolous, Lil’ Kim, and Jim Jones. The rapper put the exclamation point on the extravaganza with a silver Maybach wrapped in a red bow.

Diddy also provided a uniformed driver to escort Justin and his friends around New York City – because, at 16, Justin is just now learning how to drive.

In addition to the wheels, Diddy also gave him a check for $10,000, which Justin immediately donated to Wyclef Jean’s charity Yele Haiti.

“Words can’t even describe how I feel. I’m so blessed and thankful for all of this,” Justin told UsMagazine at his party – which will be featured on an upcoming episode of MTV’s ‘My Super Sweet 16.’

  1. Sean Combs’ purchase of a 350K vehicle for his SIXTEEN year old son is the epitome of ignorance and flamboyance. Combs, who is rich beyond the dreams of 90% of you reading this, is an idiot, who, through this action, is showing his son how to also be an idiot. Combs could have used his son’s desire for a car to teach the young man responsibility and hard work, two characteristics that Combs had once upon a time. Instead he demonstrated to his son that to be a successful jackass in the public eye, all one needs is to buy a CHILD a car that cost enough money to employ 6 people, including health insurance benefits. That money could have helped the people in Haiti, Chicago, of, let’s see. . .his own neighborhood in New York. Combs could have sponsored a poor student without funding to attend NYU. Sean should be ashamed and embarassed for himself and his son. He’s obviously forgotton the sacrifices that were made for him to have access to the opportunities upon which he has so bodaciously capitalized.

  2. I have to agree with the Professor. It was extravagant and too much for a 16 year old. That money could have been put to better use. Or he could have made the boy work for that car.

  3. It sounds extravagant and yes, it was. But at the same time Diddy knows what its like to work hard and just because he has decided to give his son a gift that to many seems to over the top, doesn’t mean that he won’t teach his son to work hard and be successful. As a parent I can relate to Diddy’s desire to do great things for your child, if I was blessed with lots of money as they are, there’s no doubt in my mind that I would want to give my daughter everything I can, everything that I never had. It’s all in perspective and no one can judge Diddy’s motives or intent by giving his kids expensive things. Sweet Sixteen is a big deal in a kids life, so a $350K car to them is like a $350 xbox or ps3 to many other familys. Like I said, it’s all in perspective.
