Caressa Cameron was crowned Miss America 2010 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The show aired live Saturday night on TLC. The 22-year-old is from Fredericksburg and is the reigning Miss Virginia 2009.
In addition to winning the crown, the petite 5’4″ beauty won the talent contest with the song Listen from “Dreamgirls” – see video below.
Cameron is a student at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. According to the Miss America website, she was selected because she is a woman who reflects a tradition of style, sophistication and service. Judges included conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh and former Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.
