PGA and Champions Tour golfer Tom Watson spoke out about Tiger Woods at the Dubai Desert Classic on February 3, 2010. He said, “I’ll let the cat out of the bag. Tiger has to take ownership of what he has done. He must get his personal life in order. And when he comes back he has to show some humility to the public.”

Watson got more specific, criticizing Tiger’s bad language and other on-course behavior. He said, “I feel that he has not carried the same stature as other great players like Jack Nickolas, Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson or the Hogans, in the sense that there was language and club throwing on the golf course. You can grant that of a young person that has not been out here for awhile. But I think he needs to clean up his act and show the respect for the game that other people before him have shown.”

Woods is currently on an indefinite break following a car crash on November 27, 2009, that was sparked by Elin Nordegren‘s discovery that her husband was engaged in extramarital affairs. He is currently being treated for sexual addiction in Hattisburg, Mississippi.

Another pro golfer who has spoken out about Tiger is Jesper Parnevik. He introduced Elin to Woods while she and her twin sister were employed by his family as nannies – see photos and details here.
