Rumors are swirling that a royal wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William will take place in 2010. Officials from Clarence House and Buckingham Palace are close-lipped on the suggestion of November nuptials.

Daily Beast reporter Tina Brown indicates that June 3 and 4 are “mysteriously blocked out” on the Palace calendar, in what she suggests may be the official announcement of an engagement.

Prince William will turn 28 in June and is currently training in Wales as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot. He and Kate have been a couple for seven years.

Royal watchers believe that Kate and William will shy away from a huge wedding, unlike the international spectacle of Princess Diana and Prince Charles in 1981, as seen in our picture gallery.

UPDATE: ENGAGED!
