Michael Lohan is concerned about his 16-year-old daughter Ali, who has been staying at Lindsay’s house, so he dropped by for a visit and brought the cops with him.

“I went to the police department concerned about Ali’s welfare,” Michael Lohan told Hollyscoop, “I wanted to check on Ali. I want to make sure she’s okay. She’s 16 and she doesn’t belong there. She’s a minor.”

After Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officers inspected the home and interviewed Ali, they left her with her older sister.

Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said, “Michael Lohan called the West Hollywood Sheriff’s and was concerned about the welfare of his as well as for Lindsay, there was no danger at all. A report was taken and that was it.”

Michael expressed concern that Lindsay took Ali to the Coachella Music Festival this past weekend and drove home “at 115 miles per hour.” He added, “Ali is being exposed to nightlife and the people Lindsay is surrounding herself with.”

LiLo was upset by the visit and Tweeted her frustration, “I have no choice but to make this public, due to my sister’s safety, as well as my own. My ex-dad just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil’s advocate with officers.”

Lindsay continued her Twitter rant, “He has NEVER paid child support, and is marrying a tabloid writer and can barely spell his own name due to his “brain” that has been ruined due to HIS drug use. when will it ever end… it’s been going on my whole life with him-hasn’t he caused enough pain?… thank g-d for my mommy… w/out her, i wouldn’t even know myself.”

Michael plans to meet with Lindsay’s attorneys to discuss becoming Lindsay’s conservator. “She needs help and I won’t stop until she gets it,” he said.
