UFC Thiago ‘Pitbull’ Alves Plans Comeback (VIDEO)

Just one month after having brain surgery, UFC fighter Thiago “Pitbull” Alves is already planning to get back into the cage.  He was pulled from fighting at the UFC 111 event after a CAT scan showed brain irregularity, resulting in the need for eight hours of surgery.

So, what’s up next?  Sources close to Thiago say that his plan is to return to the Octagon on July 3rd for the UFC 116 show.

On Tuesday Alves had another CAT scan to make sure everything looked good and was told that the surgery was a complete success.  The final decision on when he can fight again will be made by the New Jersey State Athletic Commission.
