Glee star Jane Lynch exchanged wedding vows on Monday night with psychologist Dr. Lara Embry at the Blue Heron restaurant in Sunderland, Massachusetts.
The 20-minute outdoor patio ceremony was witnessed by 21 guests. As seen in the above photo, Embry wore a cream and black cocktail dress and Lynch wore a cream wrap blouse and black pants.
The couple got engaged in November and chose to marry in Massachusetts because it is the first U.S. state to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Embry made headlines last year when she won a same-sex custody battle with former partner Kimberly Ryan, over their two children. Each woman gave birth to one of the children and each adopted the other. After their split, they initially agreed to share custody. Then things turned ugly and Embry's ex decided to cut all ties between Embry and one of the children. See photo below.
With the help of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the Florida courts ruled that Embry "must be given the same rights as any other adoptive parent in Florida."
Embry holds a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology and practices in Bradenton, Florida at the Carter Psychology Center.
