It was party time at American Airlines Arena in Miami on Friday. On hand to meet and greet the crowd was the newly formed Miami Dream Team of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James, already being dubbed “The Three Kings”.

The new contracts have been signed, giving the newly acquired James and Bosh $14 million in 2010-11. Wade, with Miami since 2003, signed a new six year deal worth $107.5 million. All three contracts have an early termination option after the fourth season that would allow LeBron, Bosh and Wade to return to free agency in the summer of 2014. They also have a player option entering into the final season of the contact in 2015-16.

Wade said: “It’s still surreal, man. Me, Chris and ‘Bron. We ready. We want to go to the gym now.”

Now it’s time to fill out the roster. Heat president Pat Riley, mastermind of the deals, had this to say: “All three of these gentlemen up here are going to be here for a long time, and they’re going to be here for us to enjoy, thoroughly enjoy.”

“There are plans to bring in other players and we’re very aggressive with that. There is nothing that has been completed. I have a very, very good feeling we’ll be able to do something.”
