Actress Halle Berry is switching it up a bit from the big screen to Broadway.  Berry will star alongside “Jungle Fever” costar Samuel L. Jackson in Katori Hall‘s acclaimed play “The Mountaintop” this fall.

Berry will portray the mysterious hotel maid who visited civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., on the evening before he was assassinated on April 3, 1968 — a day that most will never forget.  Jackson will be cast in the role of MLK.

The set of “The Mountaintop” will replicate Room 306 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.

The play received rave reviews in London.  With Berry and Jackson on board, the Broadway version is almost certainly guaranteed to do well in NYC.

  1. a totally over rated actress seriously
she is so bad try watching Perfect Stranger
she can’t even act laughing convincingly…
all she really does is make a ton of money for revlon ads and commercials…. i.e : she is paid for her looks.

  2. We can not wait to come to New York to see this play Samuel L. Jackson and Halley Berry are brilliant actors. One question “WHEN WILL THE TICKETS GO ON SALE”
