Jennifer Aniston will be reunited with Courteney Cox-Arquette on the small screen in the season two premiere of “Cougar Town.”
ABC confirmed the news on the heels of Aniston’s box office flop with “The Switch” over the weekend.
“She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie,” says “Cougar Town” executive producer Bill Lawrence. “Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”
Although Aniston is only slated for one episode, Lawrence leaves the door open for more appearances. “We’re very intentionally implying that it’s a therapist Courteney has been using for a while, and we’re certainly not going to make it like they’ll never see each other again,” he says. “So I’m crossing my fingers that if she has a good time it’ll happen again.”
We’re crossing ours too Bill.
Cougar Town premieres September 22 on ABC.
