Following a whirlwind courtship and weeks-long engagement, Crystal Bowersox married her longtime-friend-turned-lover Brian Walker in front of 60 family members and friends on Sunday.

“Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now,” Bowersox tells People “I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family.”

The ceremony was held at the club where the couple met 6 years ago during an open mic night.

Bowersox wore an earth-friendly hemp and cotton gown, featuring macramé, seashell and bead detailing, by Vermont designer Tara Lynn.

The rings were designed by the groom and crafted by Chicago’s Traci Coughlin and Steve Quick Jewelers.

The reception that followed the ceremony featured a laughing Budda cake and performances by Walker and several of his musician friends.
