Texas Rangers ace pitcher Cliff Lee is headed to the 2010 World Series, where his team will play the best-of-seven against the National League champion San Francisco Giants beginning Wednesday, October 27.

Lee is married to Kristen Lee and they have two children: Jaxon, 9, and Maci, 7. Jaxon was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of four months. He is now in remission after undergoing treatment.

Kristen is reportedly unhappy with the treatment she received while at Yankee Stadium during the AL Championship series. She was seated in the visiting family section and said people were rude to her, spitting and throwing beer in her direction and shouting obscenities.

She said: “The fans did not do good things in my heart. When people are staring at you, and saying horrible things, it’s hard not to take it personal.”

Sitting next to Kristen during the spit fest was Olympian Misty May Treanor, who is married to Texas Rangers catcher Matt Treanor. She posted a photo of the spitters on her Twitter page with the sentiment: “Yep 3 Yankee fans show their respect…spit anyone. Nothing like a shower of it. Thanks fellas, very classy!” – check it out below.

One thing is certain, the mean-spirited treatment doesn’t alter the affinity she and Cliff have for New York.
