Barack Obama Stitches: Injured Playing Basketball (PHOTOS)
Barack Obama received 12 stitches Friday after he was elbowed by another player while playing basketball with friends and family at nearby Fort McNair.
The five-on-five contest included former Duke University player Reggie Love, Obama’s cool body man. After 90 minutes of play, Obama emerged from the building dabbing at his mouth with a wad of gauze.
Obama’s secret service detail returned their banged up boss to the White House where he was treated by a physician at the medical unit on the ground floor of the White House.
Several hours later, reporters gathered in the White House driveway for the arrival of the White House Christmas Tree saw the president looking down from an upstairs window, pressing an ice pack to reduce swelling – see after the jump.
The news was announced by White House Press Secretary Roberts Gibbs.

Obama is the hardest working president yet. George W was down at the ranch or golfing for most of his presidency. Where was W during Katrina? Since the advent of the internet and Facebook and Twitter and bloggers its,like being back in junior high and reading the writings on the toilet doors and bathroom walls.
