Wonder Woman: Adrianne Palicki vs Lynda Carter (PHOTOS)
Blue pants replace the bare-legged 70s costume …
EW provided the exclusive first look at the new Wonder Woman in her superheroine costume. Adrianne Palicki will reprise the role that was made famous by Lynda Carter, who starred in the CBS television series The New Original Wonder Woman from 1975-1979.
The NBC reboot is being orchestrated by Boston Legal writer David E. Kelley. Other co-stars include Elizabeth Hurley and Cary Elwes.
We thought it might be fun to put the two women side-by-side for a little comparison. Has Carter’s original costume stood the test of time? Does Palicki rock the blue pants and boots to their best advantage? Are the bare legs with red boots hotter?
Carter was 24 when the series began, compared to 27-year-old Palicki. The veteran actress will turn 60 in July. She’s not alone — check out all of the celebrity baby boomers born in 1951.

Lynda Carter was 24 not 34 when she started playing WONDER WOMAN. Do the math! She was born in 1951. Series started in 1975.So she was in fact younger than Adrianne. For the record Lynda Carter is a legend and she will always be the best WONDER WOMAN! Her costume in THE NEW ADVENTURES OF WONDER WOMAN, the CBS years was sheer perfection! She was fantastic! The new WW costume is horrible!! The breasts are fake looking,too spaced out! She needs a tan. The blue spandex pants are so cheesy! Her boots need to be red to match the top of her! Golden lasso is too big. She’s too skinny! If she supposely has a body. It doesn’t show in this hideous costume. Her face is too fat and her eyes do nothing like what Lynda had! The silver bracelets look dumb! You have all that gold and silver bracelets? lol. Just cause you have a silver line down the boots? Lynda’s Gold bracelets look right! In Lynda’s costume,all the colors were place to compliment each other. New costume,everything is out of place completely!The new actress doesn’t cut it. I’m all for a new adaption of WW,but the costume change is too drastic and not for the good. If Hollywood can not find the right actress who is as beautiful as Lynda or a costume as hot as what she wore. Then leave the classic series along! They already ruin the comic book with the silly new outfit.Come on you guys We wanna see WW not WonderGirl! Dont ruin WW like you did with THE BIONIC WOMAN!

The new costume sucks. You cant change the original. Why would hollywood pick such a dog to even attempt to replace Ms. usa wonder woman lynda carter. Please fix the costume wonder woman has worn since created by william moulton marston. This is headed for the biggest flop in tv history if it is not correct the way it should be. Would you change superman or batmans costume. Come on guys get this right. I have loved wonder woman for years since i was a kid. This is Wonder girl maybe but not wonder woman.
Agree 210%, that no one but Carter can fill the Wonder Woman out fit. Carter was, is, and always will be the best actress to have played the part of WW. I’m sooo sorry, but blue pants just does not look better than skimpy shorts. Give me a brake, whoever thought that this new out fit works, needs to be ‘Fired’
