An announcement is expected to be made today by NBC that Ann Curry will replace Meredith Vieira as co-host of the Today Show. Curry has worked at the news anchor desk for the last 14 years.

In early April, it was widely reported that Meredith would end her 5 year Today Show run shortly after completing the Royal Wedding coverage in London.

Vieira has grown weary of the early morning hours and plans to spend more time with her husband Richard Cohen and their children. Her husband suffers from multiple sclerosis and has had several bouts with cancer.

In January Meredeth told Ladies Home Journal, “I look forward to not working, to traveling with Richard and carving out time for us.”

Natalie Morales will step into Curry’s news anchor spot and White House correspondent and MSNBC personality Savannah Guthrie will take over Morales’ spot.

Reports indicate that the domino moves will occur in June.
