Rumors continue to swirl regarding the mystery of who fathered actress January Jones' unborn child. There is strong speculation that the baby daddy is X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn.
The filmmaker, who reportedly had a close relation with the Mad Men actress while on the set, happens to be married to supermodel Claudia Schiffer. The couple have three children: Caspar, 8, Clementine, 6, and Cosima, 1.
It was first reported that the daddy was Saturday Night Live funnyman Jason Sudeikis, but their relationship reportedly ended in early January because their work kept them apart for long periods of time.
Jones announced her pregnancy at the end of April. Schiffer and husband Vaughn, who planned to remain in the area for another month, abruptly left town. Coincidence? Maybe. Vaughn was also a no show at the premiere of his movie in New York on Wednesday, feigning tonsillitis. The malady didn't keep him from a round of interviews earlier that same day.
The actress, who is due in the fall, plans to raise the child as a single parent. Her simple hope is that she will be a "good" mother.
X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3, 2011. More baby bump photos and the movie trailer below:
