This biker mama is testing the political waters ...
Sarah Palin and her family attended Sunday's annual Memorial Day Rolling Thunder Ride in Washington D.C. The former governor was dressed in biker gear, including a Harley helmet.
Thousands of riders paraded down Constitution Avenue on a route from the Pentagon to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Palin used the event to kick off her East Coast tour that is likely a prelude to announcing that she will run in the 2012 presidential contest.
Palin wasn't talking politics on Sunday but she did cause a definite buzz. Wearing heels and black pants and tee-shirt, she shook many hands and happily posed for pictures with well-wishers.
She offered up her thoughts on her political website: "There's no better way to see D.C. than on the back of a Harley!"
The Palin tour entourage includes Todd Palin, the couple's youngest daughter Piper Palin, and their eldest daughter Bristol Palin, who was a third place finisher on last season's Dancing with the Stars, and recently debuted a totally new appearance following reconstructive jaw surgery.
