Emily Maynard struck out with Bachelor Brad Womack but it looks like she’ll have another opportunity to find Mr. Right.

The 25-year-old broke up with her fiance last month and is reportedly close to cinching a deal to become The Bachelorette 8.  It isn’t a done deal yet but several sources indicate it will happen.

Maynard has made no bones about wanting a career in broadcasting.  And let’s face it, she knows she won’t HAVE to marry the guy that she picks on the dating reality show.  Look at Womack — he’s two for two in the failed romance department.  Seems like a no-brainer for Emily.

The Season 7 Bachelorette is Ashley Hebert, the dental student who spurned Womack’s advances and ended up second runner-up during Season 15 of The Bachelor.  She is currently working her way through 25 eligible guys, and will make her final choice during the ABC finale on August 1, 2011.
