Kat Von D stormed off the set of Good Day L.A. before her scheduled interview even got started on Thursday, and later lamented: "What can I say? I suck."
The tide turned for the reality star the moment show host Jeff Michael introduced the segment by mentioning her failed relationship with Jesse James and then cut to a film clip from L.A. Ink.
The new season premieres tonight on TLC, and features the couple in a scene where she surprises him by getting a tattoo inked on her rib cage -- a permanent likeness of his 5th grade school photo.
She went home to sulk and decided to explain what happened on her Facebook page: "Although my intentions were never to offend or hurt anyone’s feelings, this isn't an apology for walking out on a silly morning show interview this morning- and this isn’t an attempt at justifying anything either. I don't expect people to understand, just like I can't expect myself to be able to please everyone at all times."
She continued: "Most of the time I’m good at rolling with the punches when things don't go 'as planned,' but somehow, I allowed today to get the best of me."
With the new season of LA Ink underway, she admits she's worried about press: "I'm not strong enough to do all the press I committed to doing for the show."
She doesn't expect the media to completely leave her alone, but she does want everyone to know that she is struggling. She admits: "Even though it's not in my nature to cancel on people, it IS in my nature to admit when I'm weak."
